Grape and Olive | Swansea | 30th January 2014 | 5:30pm-7:30pm

Update 06.04.14:  We have added the video from the event at the bottom of this post.

We’re excited to announce that later this month, we’ll be running an exciting “Digital Marketing for Exporters” seminar in our home city of Swansea.

The event is being co-run by the Chartered Institute of Marketing and West Wales Exporters Association, two bodies that share our vision for a global Wales. The seminar promises to share practical tips on growing overseas sales without significantly expanding your marketing team.

Translating a website is a great first step, and leads to increased enquiries.  But how can marketers increase overseas sales and dominate these markets online?

Our director Anna Bastek will be giving tips on SEO, PPC, social media and content creation in foreign markets.  The seminar will reveal little known facts about language, culture and local considerations that can help brands overcome the barriers to digital success overseas.

Anna is an award-winning marketer and 2012 IoD Director of the Year, commended for her role in growing Wolfestone across the globe.  Few people realise our company gains over 30% of its revenue from overseas markets and is listed among the fastest growing in the industry.

There are other excellent speakers lined up, such as Jade Tambini from DS Smith, the global packaging and recycling company.  She’ll be covering important issues for any global brand – such as how to centrally manage an international brand without compromising local engagement.  She’ll also cover why ‘playing it safe’ is the most dangerous thing you can do, and how to form a tactical marketing plan from your international business objectives.

Anna and Jade will be joined by Nigel T Packer, digital marketing consultant, author and speaker who’ll be sharing his practical tips on taking your campaigns international – from social media to content. Social media can be a powerful tool for global exposure. Knowing which platform to use, identifying the campaign strategy, engaging with the right people in the destination market and getting the strategy right can make a big difference between damaging your brand reputation and growing an international market.

The event takes place on 30th January 2014 at the Grape and Olive, starting at 5.30pm.  The event is free for first time visitors.  Limited spaces available so hurry up and book your place by emailing arek@wolfestone.co.uk.
