Award-winning director and co-founder of Wolfestone, Anna Bastek, recently spoke at an event in Cardiff organised by women’s charity Chwarae Teg.
The event is part of a series of “Milkshake” events organised by the charity, which are free and delivered by volunteers. Designed to inspire women to develop their skills in business, they offer a variety of events from taster workshops to inspirational speakers.
As one of the front-running women in Welsh business, Bastek shared her journey from foreign student to multi-award winning entrepreneur, and the challenges she faced to create one of the UK’s fastest growing languages companies. Anna gave advice on obstacles she overcame when starting her own business, remaining successful through the recession and making the right sacrifices.
Swansea-based Wolfestone has experienced substantial growth and is now a multimillion pound company. Anna says she hopes her story will inspire and motivate others to be ambitious and achieve their goals.

Also sharing her experiences on building a brand culture on the 26th of September will be Claire Swindell. Claire is account director for Spindogs and Chair of the learning network Grŵp and on the South Wales committee of the CIM.
Chwarae Teg are a women’s charity working to help ensure that women in Wales can enter the workplace, develop their skills and build rewarding careers.
Anna will also be speaking at the Barclays Women in Business event in the Swansea Liberty Stadium on 9th October and in Bristol on 14th Oct.
