Wolfestone Crowned Winners at UK Language Sector Awards

Wolfestone is proud to announce that Oliver Dugdale, our Business Development Manager, has been crowned the winner of the Sales Person of the Year category at the ATC 2016 Language Industry Summit Awards.
Wolfestone is proud to announce that Oliver Dugdale, our Business Development Manager, has been crowned the winner of the Sales Person of the Year category at the Association of Translation Companies’ (ATC) 2016 Language Industry Summit Awards. Magdalena Ciesliczka also received a high commendation for the Project Manager of the Year, meaning that Magda was a runner-up to the well-contested award. Ben, Magda, Roy and Anthony at the ATC Summit in London Designed to celebrate success in the sector, with nominees being recognised by the judges for their commitment to excellence, Oliver stood out for his proactive approach in driving company growth, beating off stiff competition from two other national finalists. Commenting on his win, Oliver said: ‘I was very proud just to have been nominated and I could not have done this without the support of everyone around me. I’m very grateful that all of my efforts have been recognised at the highest possible level.’ Speaking about Oliver’s win, Wolfestone co-founder Roy Allkin said: ‘We are all delighted for Olly – he is an outstanding example of a Business Development Manager who always aspires to provide an excellent service and who has a very positive impact on the whole team. There couldn’t be a worthier winner.’ This year’s judging was undertaken by a panel comprising Rudy Tirry, President of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies, Sarah Griffin-Mason, Chair of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting, Laura Brandon, Executive Director of the Globalization and Localization Association and Geoffrey Bowden, General Secretary for the ATC, who was the non-voting chair of the judging panel. ATC General Secretary Geoffrey, said: ‘The gala award dinner was a remarkable celebration of excellence and success within the language industry. We would like to congratulate Oliver on his win and hope that he and the other winners can help to demonstrate the importance and benefits of a career in the language sector for future generations.’ Magdalena had this to say about her commendation: ‘To be nominated was an honour in itself, to come runner-up in such a tight category with the best national Project Managers is a great achievement. I went back to work with a smile on my face knowing that not only my company recognises my hard work, but the national independent body that sets the industry standards.’ Wolfestone would like to thank Olly and Magda for being excellent members of staff and the ATC for honouring us with the nominations.
