Wolfestone Director in finals For 'Woman of the Year' Award 2010

The South Wales Evening Post and Swansea Bay Business Life have announced the shortlist for the Women in Business Awards 2010. The awards have been designed to honour female stars of the Swansea Bay business community across six categories, from women with green agendas to international achievers. Anna Bastek, co-founder of Wolfestone Translation and Eco Trans, has been shortlisted for the Online Innovation and the Go Green Environmental Awards.

Having already been victorious in 2009’s Swansea Bay Woman of the Year competition, Anna is now in the final of in this year’s Women in Business Awards as a result of her innovative approach to technology and also her green-minded approach to business.

She commented, “I’m thrilled to have reached the finals in 2 categories. I am extremely proud of how I have built a successful international and multi-award winning business from nothing during the worst recession since the 1930s. Online innovation is continuing to contribute immensely to the success of Wolfestone Translation. My committed ecological beliefs have resulted in my making all my businesses green and also in my setting up of Eco Trans, a successful language services company dedicated to the renewable energy sector.”

Previously the Marketing Director of a well-known electronics company, Anna’s proficiency led to a growth in turnover of seven hundred percent, and she soon moved on to co-found Wolfestone Translation after noticing the potential in the language services market. Anna and her business partner Roy Allkin are proud of their multi-award winning company that now sees a turnover which has doubled year on year since 2007; a testament to their drive and innovation.
