Wolfestone Translation is part of £8m LEAD Wales programme

In yet another chapter of their success story, leading Swansea entrepreneurs Anna Bastek and Roy Allkin of Wolfestone Translation have been chosen to take part in the LEAD Wales project. This is an event limited to 25 of the most successful owner-managers of small or medium sized businesses, initially in the Swansea area, but eventually to cover all of Wales. It has received recognition and £8m of funding from the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Social Fund. The co-founders of Wolfestone were chosen as a result of the great potential of Wolfestone Translation and for creating employment in Wales.read more

Anna Bastek from Wolfestone Translation is crowned Swansea Bay Woman of the Year 2009

Wolfestone Translation Director Anna Bastek has dominated the recent Swansea Bay Woman of the Year awards, winning her category for Swansea Bay Business Woman of the Year for Wolfestone Translation and then going on to take the overall title of "Swansea Bay Woman of the Year 2009" at yet another prestigious ceremony, in the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea. This was the 6th time the awards have been held, and she is thus adding her name to an elite group of very talented high achievers. The awards were hosted by Sara Edwards, and the hugely anticipated guest speaker was Ruth Jones, of Gavin and Stacey fame. All of Wolfestone's female employees and Anna's business partner Roy Allkin were present, and they elevated the noise levels considerably upon the announcement of this year's winner. read moreicon

Sucata Rally consists of teams of up to 4 people driving in an old car worth no more than £250 for 5 days. iconWolfestone Translation is involved in an ambitious £11.4m scheme launched by the University of Wales – the Prince of Wales Innovation Scholarships – designed to help propel the principality out of recession. The new scheme could see Wales become a successful innovation cluster likened to Cambridge in England by The Independent newspaper. The scheme is endorsed by the Prince of Wales and is expected to help Wales to overcome the recession and create jobs for graduates. read more

Regional Business Awards

Wolfestone Translation continues to impress by winning yet another award, this time at the prestigious Regional Business Awards.

Competing in the Young Business of the Year category, Wolfestone was the outstanding nominee for the award and managed to hold off stiff competition from a host of other candidates. The Award was presented by BBC personality Roy Noble at the glittering event held at the magnificent Parc y Scarlets stadium.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Jamie Reynolds, who sits on the Swansea Bay Partnership said: “The standard of entries was extremely high this year and we were delighted by the number of entries. The business expertise we have here in the Swansea Bay region is superb and finalising the shortlists was a very difficult task. A number of factors were taken into consideration and there was a lot of discussion about every single nomination we received.” read more

Wolfestone donates translation for the environmental film of the year

The Age of Stupid

Wolfestone Translation have been approached by the DVD multi-languages producer of ‘The Age of Stupid’ to be a UK translation partner for the film. The film tells the story of a man (Peter Postlethwaite) living alone in 2055 and wondering why we didn’t do more to save the planet when we had the chance. The film has been produced in an attempt to stir the public into action in regards to climate change and has been hailed by Mark Lynas as ‘the most powerful piece of cultural discourse on climate change ever produced.’

iconWolfestone Translation have reached the final for the most promising business in the UK awards to be held in Claridges, London on the 21st November.

Thousands of entries were received across the UK and the 6 finalists were selected after numerous rounds of intense judging. The judges looked at factors including client relationship management, staff policies and attitudes, sales and marketing, outstanding results, obstacles overcome, future plans, and local community/charity involvement.
