How do you contribute to the business?

As Finance Manager, I ensure financial processes and procedures are implemented by the finance team to deliver accurate financial information to the board of directors. This typically includes financial accounting, preparation, reporting, analysis, budgeting and more.

Bringing my experience to the team we aim to deliver timely, accurate and key management accounts which assists the company in making daily, short-term and long-term decisions.

I also work closely with Alex (Managing Director) to implement financial strategies for company growth.

How do you contribute to the customer experience?

Accounting and finance teams are usually thought to have limited or no effect on customer service. However, a lack of integration and knowledge can leave the finance department without the necessary information to do their jobs to a high standard. Customers always expect to speak to someone who, in general terms, “knows what they’re talking about”.

I therefore ensure that the team understand the importance of customer service regardless of the task so that they improve customer satisfaction levels in terms of customer billing and payments, accessing accurate information, reporting and decision making, managing risks and process compliance, efficiency and simplicity.

What drew you to the company?

I read about a vacancy for a finance manager in February 2018 and was instantly drawn by the company’s growth in a relatively short period of time.  Having also been acknowledged by numerous awards including Fast Growth 50, I knew instantly that my 20 years of experience in finance for various industries would work well at Wolfestone.

The company’s values and investment in people is applaudable. The role would allow me to develop and work closely with the company directors and executive team daily. Assisting in decision-making for the benefit of our customers, Group and the Wolfestone family.
