A conference later this month will focus on how businesses can grow their profits locally, and make the most of the area in which their business is based. The Spotlight on West Wales conference is the latest in a succession of successful roadshow events being held across the country, and its speakers include Business AM Edwina Hart, Secret Millionaire Kevin Green, and Jo Fairley, the co-founder of the Green and Blacks confectionery brand. Taking part in the question and answer session will be Anna Bastek from Swansea-based translation service Wolfestone. She said: "I'm really pleased to be involved" "We have a strong customer base in West Wales that we have long term relationships with." "We have helped them grow through exporting, and in turn they have helped us grow." "Events like this strengthen the business community in Wales and give us a platform from which to grow in confidence" Also taking part in the question and answer session are Nick Revell, MD Ledwood Engineering and Iestyn Davies, Head of External Affairs for the Federation of Small Businesses. The panel discussion will cover their experiences of seizing opportunities in West Wales, current growth sectors they think businesses should focus on and tips on how to identify new opportunities. The event, sponsored by the Welsh Government, is free and registration is made through the Spotlight West Wales website.
