VoiceBox, a Swansea-based company has announced its plans to create up to 30 new jobs in the Swansea region within the next two years. As a media brand trading under the Wolfestone Group, VoiceBox specialises in multilingual voiceovers, dubbing and subtitling, providing services for feature films and TV series produced in places like Hollywood, Bollywood, and Asia as well as multilingual script adaptations from its Swansea base.

VoiceBox has succeeded in responding fast to ever-growing needs of a global client-base in multilingual services, spotting huge opportunities to move into an emerging and fast growing marketplace, one which is primarily served by London, US, and Asia-based agencies.

Despite its internationalism, VoiceBox remains committed to a local recruitment drive within Wales. The country is fast becoming recognised as a creative hub supported by a world class education strategy from our surrounding universities.

Speaking of the brand’s success, Anna Bastek, CEO at VoiceBox said,

“We are already supplying major distributors including Warner Bros, Sony, Discovery and many first tier multinationals who provide multilingual translations, subtitles and voiceovers to the global media industry.

“We’re now in the process of taking the business to the next level and are investing in a new location in Swansea to meet the growing demand. During this initial expansion programme we will need to employ around ten new full-time positions and many freelance audio-visual engineers.”

To better understand the requirements of the major international film and broadcasting sectors, VoiceBox undertook significant research and development in translation and re-versioning processes to support their clients’ global distribution requirements.

The brand’s exponential growth has taken it to US where it has garnered positive attention by gaining high-profile clients. In light of this success, VoiceBox is looking to employ an additional 20-30 graduates, interns and full-time employees within the next three years.

This factor has been an enormous benefit for VoiceBox in its recruitment of high calibre postgraduates from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. The University’s School of Digital Film and Media has enabled students to develop the dynamic skill-sets needed for future creative opportunities.

The Welsh Government has listed the Creative Industries as a ‘priority sector’. VoiceBox believes that this is an important strategy that will allow it to build strong commercial and employment opportunities in Wales.
