Wolfestone Translation Director Anna Bastek has been shortlisted for the UK National awards in October
wolfestone-director-in-line-for-uk-award-200Wolfestone Translation Director Anna Bastek was delighted to win the award for Talent and Innovation at the 2012 Welsh IoD awards. Now the Swansea based entrepreneur has been shortlisted for the UK National awards in October. The Institute of Directors, which has 40,000 members, sets the standard for good business practice throughout the UK, and the shortlisting confirms Wolfestone’s status as a flagship company. Growth of 500% over the past three years has been accompanied by a string of prestigious business awards. During tough economic times, Wolfestone have been as brave as they have been successful, and the company’s core ethos of investing in staff and systems continues to pay dividends. Far from resting on their laurels, Wolfestone has doubled staff numbers over the past twelve months, offering career paths and progression to South Wales jobseekers. This has already been recognised with an award for Skills and People Development at the 2012 Chamber of Commerce Awards, but Anna Bastek is particularly pleased with this latest UK wide recognition. “Since starting the business we have reinvested profits in our people, our technology and our systems – all with the aim of increasing value and quality for the customer. We see our ongoing growth, and now this award shortlisting, as recognition of that investment.” Recent UK trade statistics have seen widening trade deficit. Meanwhile, emerging economies such as China offer great promise. China has a middle class of 200 million, an aspirational consumer group with money to spend. Wolfestone offers British exporters a path to these consumers, and the shortlisting of the Institute of Directors is a flattering acknowledgement of that.
