Wolfestone Holdings Achieves Highly Coveted ISO 17100:2015 Certification

September 26, 2018 Wolfestone Holdings is delighted to announce that it has recently achieved the highly coveted ISO accreditation 17100:2015 across all three of its brands, as well as renewing its ISO 9001:2015 certification. The ISO 17100:2015 is specifically designed for the translation industry. Since its introduction it has been highly influential in raising the bar for the level of service and quality provided by translation companies the world over. Accomplishing this goal means Wolfestone Holdings is now in the 1% minority of global translation and localisation companies to possess such certification. Alex Parr, Managing Director for Wolfestone Holdings said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have achieved the ISO 17100:2015 accreditation. We’re confident that it will make a big difference in helping us to secure high value, long-term translation projects.”

ISO Accreditation Explained

[su_spacer size="10"] The International Organization for Standardization develop and maintain a set of specifications for an enormous variety of products and services worldwide. They relate to almost every industry: from technology, to food safety, to agriculture and healthcare. The ISO 17100:2015, though, is specific to the translation industry, and replaces the EN 15038 standard which Wolfestone had achieved in 2015. It integrates terminology and processes specific to the field of translation and creates an international standard to which translation companies must operate. It incorporates a translation company’s personnel, technical resources, translation quality and project management processes.

Audited by the ATC

[su_spacer size="10"] Following an audit carried out by the Association of Translation Companies (ATC), Wolfestone Holdings Ltd. – which comprises Wolfestone Translation, VoiceBox and Robertson Languages International – has been found to exceed said criteria and is certified until August 2021. As well as achieving the ISO 17100:2015, Wolfestone has renewed its ISO 9001:2015 accreditation which certifies that Wolfestone Holdings meets the criteria for a quality management system. Ms Parr added: “Gaining this certification confirms Wolfestone Holdings ability to deliver a high-quality translation service. A service our brands – Wolfestone, VoiceBox and Robertson Languages – have been providing to every single one of our clients for many years, and for many more years to come.”
