Wolfestone Staff Serve Up A Feast For World Food Night

The Staff at Wolfestone were a major contributor to World Food Night
wolfestone-world_food_night-200With a staff team including eight different nationalities and a long standing commitment to charity fundraising, Wolfestone Translation was an eager contributor to World Food Night on February 24th. This national culinary celebration saw participants throughout the UK cooked food from around the world, inviting others to share it and asking for donations to Refugee Action, the independent national charity that provides advice and support to asylum seekers and refugees in the UK. The Swansea based translation and voiceover service provider encouraged staff from countries including Argentina, Poland, France, Italy and Germany to share their native cuisine, and the results were delicious. Lasagne and Zwiebelkuchen (German onion pie) were among the main dishes, while many exotic desserts were served alongside traditional local Welshcakes. Total staff donations are being matched by the company, and fundraising was further boosted by a message of support from “Reggae Reggae Sauce” entrepreneur Levi Roots, one of World Food Night’s most prominent supporters. Wolfestone Director Roy Allkin took pride in the company’s enthusiastic participation: “Wolfestone is a melting pot of nationalities and cultures, and we succeed every day by pooling our talents and ideas. On World Food Night our melting pot produced a range of delicious food and a sum of money for a very worthy cause. I hope this will be the first of many World Food Nights, and as Wolfestone’s staff team continues to grow and diversify I’m sure we’ll be sampling the cuisine of many more nations in the future”.
