Wolfestone Win Inaugural Localization Award

November 17, 2017

Wolfestone proudly announces that we have won a prestigious award at the inaugural Best Employers in Localization Awards (BELA) 2017 in the category of Best Language Service Provider for Career Progression. Wolfestone has been nominated in this award category for companies under $25mil turnover.

In its first year, the BELA 2017 awards aim to recognise those companies who are committed to rewarding and improving their employees, encouraging progression and forward-thinking in the translation industry.

Reflecting upon winning the BELA award, Ms Parr, Managing Director of Wolfestone, said: “I’m immensely proud that we won the BELA Award for Career Progression. We’re a two-millionpound company from Wales and having achieved such outstanding success in an international environment is amazing. Our ethos is to continuously invest in our staff and being able to compete successfully against companies with significantly higher turnovers is fantastic.”

Ms Parr continues: “We’re already working with a great team of people and we’re confident that the award will help us grow our work force and ultimately the business further.”

Adaptive Business Group, the organisers behind the BELA awards, comments: “The winners of BELA’s Career Progression award have demonstrated their investment in the lifelong process of learning and growth, to help their employees progress towards their ultimate professional goals.

Diverse employment opportunities

Employment opportunities at Wolfestone are diverse and challenging – translation and reviewing, project management, sales, marketing, accounting, to name but a few. Ms Parr herself is a great example as she began her career with the company as team leader for the sales department. Her talent and business acumen were quickly recognised by the company directors and it wouldn’t be long before the decision was made to place her on a Fast Track to Director programme. Following extensive training, Ms Parr was promoted to the position of Managing Director for Wolfestone in October 2015, and to notable success.

Ms Bastek, co-Founder and Director, said: “We believe in putting the best people in roles that not only best suit their skillset, but in roles that they want to do, and we’re not afraid to trial employees in roles they may not have previously considered.”

Today, Wolfestone employs over 30 in-house members of staff in its city centre–based head office and has staff working remotely across the UK, in North America and in Eastern Europe.

Wolfestone would like to offer its congratulations to all other award winners at this year’s BELA Award.
